LCS Hockey Show - Episode 167 - 04-28-10

LCS Hockey Radio Show
We spent a good amount of time talking playoff hockey and watching Game 7 of Caps/Habs. Nothing makes better radio than two guys watching TV. We heard from "Larry's Diary." We went "Around Blogtalk." And spent the last hour with Bob Fox from JFKMurderSolved.com. Bob talked about the conspiracy surrounding the JFK murder not to mention some hockey, Ben Roethlisberger and "Road House."

Major Minority Report - Episode 12 - 04-26-10

On tonight's show we talked about how Major Minority and his wife met, which led to some yelling and screaming, with Doug, as always, playing the role of the instigator. We also debuted the segments, Dear Doug, where people asked for love advice, and Facebook Funnies, where we gave snappy one liners to all the facebook friends we have. Listen to the show, and hear Doug sing like Mr. Rogers!

Vertically Striped Radio - Episode 48 - 04-24-10

A depressed Craig was coming to grips with the fact that the Broncos drafted Tim Tebow. Vertically Striped Radio's official position is that Tebow is a good kid, but not a talented quarterback. Craig was starting to get used to the idea that the Broncos drafted Tebow, but he needed some time to vent about the stupidity of it.

In addition to some talk about the NFL draft, we also did a musical rematch of the 2003 National League Championship series matching up Eddie Vedder's pro-Cubs song, "Someday We'll Go All the Way!" with Creed's Scott Stapp singing the goofy Pro-Florida anthem "Marlins will Soar"
We also broke down the Magnificent 7: Seven Greatest TV Theme Songs (With Lyrics), an old show favorite came in at number 1.

The Week in Wankery took aim at Domino's Pizza, Comcast, and most importantly Josh McDaniels.

All in all a decent show despite my kids interrupting regularly. The Vertically Striped Music Recommendation was the album "The Sun and The Moon" by The Bravery.

LCS Hockey Radio Show
The Ed started off the show with some birthday dedications, did some beat-boxing and talked about his tryout for the new reality show "Drill Instructor". We talked about the NFL draft, the NHL playoffs and even heard a new theme song for The Ed's games. Cousin Brandon was here in hour 2 talking about vegetarianism, baseball and took on Larry in some Willy Wonka trivia. We finish up with a quick conspiracy segment on Terry Yeakey.

Major Minority Report - Episode 11 - 04-19-10

Major Minority Report Episode 11
Doug planned, or didn't plan a horrible show. If it weren't for The Ed, we would've just had a thumb war tournament on air. Nycole was sick but did a pop culture review anyway, we rehashed the 1 on 1 day, and tried to talk about some other bulldookie. Debacle. Move on. Again.

Slammed! - Episode 1 - 04-17-10

SLAMMED!
Face Ventura from Vertically Striped Radio and Larry from the LCS Hockey Radio show were fully intoxicated at the beginning of the show. #1Sploser filled in for Adam, who had grown a vagina and decided not to call, and we spoke with many others. The Ed told us about his Hollywood audition, we talked to Doug, 18Nalax and his room mate, WisconsinAlcoholic, and Craig Dodge. Debacle. Move on.

Vertically Striped Radio - Episode 47 - 04-17-10

On the opening weekend of the NHL and NBA playoffs, VSR celebrated by barely talking sports at all. Face Ventura hung around almost the entire show, as he helped promote the World Premiere of Slammed!

We played a rousing round of “Dumbest Congressional Representative Challenge" with Florida going up against Georgia. Then, we spent a large amount of the show playing Eighty Percent Trivia...the game where close does count. We had six contestants test their wits against 5 categories of trivia: Super Bowl, Stuff a Preschooler Would Know, Name that Movie, Beer, and of course...Monkeys! (As it usually does in life...in many instances, it all came down to Monkeys!)

We closed the show by allowing Face Ventura and #1 Sploser to discuss their Tool Manifesto regarding the Tool song "46 and 2." I gave the reigns of the Vertically Striped Music Recommendation over to my non-cohost, who decided to run with Tool.

It was a pretty fun show, today. Sadly, only we had only one winner of 80% trivia, so the very first Vertically Striped Radio autographed pennant is on it's way to New Mexico for Face.

LCS Hockey Radio Show
The show was a complete debacle as mikedell's phone was in and out more than Roethlisberger in a Georgia bathroom. And speaking of which, we heard from Benlisberger as he gave an on-air apology. We also talked to 5-0, The Ed and Puck Daddy's Sean Leahy in the second hour.

Major Minority Report - Episode 10 - 04-12-10

Tonight we did a pop culture review, and I interviewd Doug to let everyone know who he really is. Unfortunately, we found out that he pees in pools and steals tips. I also told a story that may or may not incriminate me Roman Polanski style. You know you want to listen... (I hope.)

Vertically Striped Radio - Episode 46 - 04-10-10

Craig soldiered on despite going to bed too late the night before, having a cold, and helping a buddy move for two hours right before the show. It helped that Face Ventura was around for most of the show picking up slack.

The show was a little uneven this week, although we had a good episode of "The Week in Wankery" and we had our first visit ever from Josh Semrow, aka Fourthand26, from the Dameshek.com messageboard, Josh was making his DAMN debut, and let us know a little about his life of playing 4 square and buying Pokemon games.

The Ed called in after waking up from a nap and shared a bit of wisdom along with breaking down the stats from his fantasy baseball league this week. Apparently he is doing okay in WHIP...whatever that means.

Ed also let us know that there are six different flavors of Klondike Bar, although he didn't tell us what he would do for a Klondike bar. He also sang a song about a town in Arizona for some reason. We also had a brief cameo from Major Minority.

The music recommendation was the song "Sovay" from Andrew Bird from the album "Weather Systems." It's a little mellow, but not too shabby.

The Ed opened up the show dancing to Judge Judy, and then he talked the Easter Bunny, some pending eye surgery, and a few ways to improve sports. He also announced a Name The Baby contest. So go ahead. Name that baby.

We never did talk much hockey, as Security Guy Irv, Cousin Brandon, and The Ed all showed up in the first hour. Then we did my Top 11 Favorite TV Shows Right Now and closed things out with Part Two of the Tupac Shakur conspiracy segment. Hit 'em up.

Major Minority Report - Episode 9 - 04-05-10

On tonight's show we did a little of everything. We had the pop culture review, spoke with The Ed, gave away a pizza, and played a story about Leonard blowing 30 grand on nothing. We also talked about our usual nonsense, and forgot to talk about more nonsense. But hey, that means we have some nonsense left over for next week.

Vertically Striped Radio - Episode 45 - 04-03-10

Final Four weekend, and we had to get our favorite prognosticator's picks for the NCAA Championship. For the record, Luke took Michigan State to beat West Virginia in the Final.

Face Ventura and The Whale helped me FINALLY break out the "People it is okay to make fun of" segment. The Ed called in right at the end of the segment, and he was on his game. We discussed his April Fools joke on the Dameshek.com message board, the NCAA tourney, Cinchcast.com, and other assorted topics including the Ed's take on bigomy.

The Ed was in fine form, to be sure. He even shared some of his favorite recipes including Chocolate and String Cheese. The Ed is clearly a culinary expert.

The show ended with a Vertically Striped Music Recommendation with a story. The song was Frank, AB from the album "Hometowns" by Rural Alberta Advantage, so I told a little bit about the story of the Frank Slide...one of the largest Landslides in the history of North America...which is also the event on which the song is based.

The Ed Show
The Ed celebrated April Fool's Day as only a true fool can, and then he welcomed Security Guy Irv back to the show. The Ed also revealed what super powers he'd like to have if he were a superhero. Look out, ladies.
