Vertically Striped Radio - Episode 114 - 06-25-11

VSR opened with news about a guy hiding in a port-o-potty and another genious tossing a bag of weed onto the hood of a cop car, setting the tone for today's show.

Craig and Face celebrated the official return of the Winnipeg Jets and also commended the Buffalo Bills on abandoning the worst uniforms in the NFL. We even scratched our head at Metta World Peace, the new moniker of the officially insane Ron Artest.

The Text-to-Speech players unveiled their acting chops deliving some spectacular reimaginations of some classic movie scenes. Then Craig spoke out against predictive Octopi among other things with a new episode of "Something to Think About."

The Whale (on fake radio hiatus) still managed to be a part of the show, delivering a new episode of "Sharp Dressed Man" via a voice mail, and then show wrapped with Craig's recommendation of "Would it Kill You?" by Hellogoodbye.

No Name Show - Episode 97 - 06-19-11

Aaron's double header got postponed so we were back to the regular time at 7:30 tonight.  We packed a ton of good stuff into the show.  Amongst the good stuff:  Top 7 "80s Movies" That Everyone Must Watch, This Day In History, The Fast Four, and two new features that everyone will love (or maybe not).  Also The Ed called in from the midle of a hurricane and attempted to rebuke the storm, much like Jesus did.  Also Liam called in to talk about his day at the Museum of Flight and Steve and I said several things that were probably not politically correct.  Oh well.

Vertically Striped Radio - Episode 113 - 06-18-11

Hallelujah! The Ed returned to Vertically Striped Radio...and there was much rejoicing! (Even if The Ed's phone quality leaves something to be desired.)

In addition to hearing the Ed, Face and Craig went head to head on a Magnificent Seven list of our favorite movie characters of all time, Samuel L Jackson read us an inappropriate bedtime story, we were treated to the video dating profile of a lady that really loves cats. (I call shennanigans on it, by the way.) We discuss Mark Cuban's plan to potentially NOT get the Mavericks championship rings, and most importantly...we learned that The Whale sometimes calls "The Lady That Cooks His Food" by a different and far more precious name. (You'll just have to listen to learn what it is!)

All in all, a banner show for the VSR crew. Craig wrapped things up with a music recommendation of the song "Wolf Blood" from the band Jay J Matott and The Arctic.

The first 20 minutes or so was all mikedell and his trip to the dentist. We then heard from our pal The Ed who must be "unretired" now. And the Ed was talking some hockey. He loves the puck. We talked to our buddy Bernie Dominiak on his upcoming trip to compete in the World Series of Poker. We did a Top 11 Most Ridiculous Things in Sports and finish up with a conspiracy on Paul Revere.

No Name Show - Episode 95 - 06-05-11

We've been very busy so we haven't planned a whole lot for this week's show. I'm sure we'll find something to fill the time with. In addition to other things, we'll give our Top 7 Vegetables and listeners will have a chance to win 2 tickets to an upcoming Mariners' game. I've also got a waterfalling story of epic, magnificant, monstrous, and insane proportions.

Vertically Striped Radio - Episode 112 - 06-04-11

Episode 112 was very emotional. It was the "Feelings" episode, and Craig played different clips to represent all sorts of different emotions such as "Happiness" (An interview with Josh Semrow (4th and 26) and his fiancee Holly about their recent engagement.), "Embarrassment" (A story from a guy about the time he foolishly got his car stolen.), "Anger" (An over the top Georgia Bulldogs fan and an over the top "musical artist"), "Fear" (A story that may or may not be true, but is undeniably spooky.) and the show ended with "Sadness" (The saddest thing ever heard on the fake radio network.)

In between the emotion, we heard a new edition of "The Sharp Dressed Man", we got to hear the Ed call in and breathe over the phone to assure us he's still alive, and we got to hear the Vertically Striped Music Recommendation of "Film Noir" from the band The Gaslight Anthem.
